Android
Restart your phone. This is often the simplest fix for minor software glitches.
Disable Bluetooth Scanning. This feature allows your phone to scan for Bluetooth devices nearby, but it can also cause Bluetooth to turn on automatically even when you don't want it to. To disable Bluetooth Scanning, go to Settings > Bluetooth and toggle off Bluetooth Scanning.
Disable Special App Access. Some apps may have permission to turn on Bluetooth automatically. To check for this, go to Settings > Apps > See all apps. Then, select the app in question and tap Permissions. If you see a permission for Bluetooth, toggle it off.
Disable Quick Device Connect. This feature allows your phone to quickly connect to nearby Bluetooth devices. However, it can also cause Bluetooth to turn on automatically. To disable Quick Device Connect, go to Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences and toggle off Quick Device Connect.
Reset Bluetooth Settings. This will restore Bluetooth to its factory default settings. To do this, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the three dots in the top right corner. Then, select Reset.
Try Safe Mode. Booting into Safe Mode will disable all third-party apps. If Bluetooth stops turning on automatically in Safe Mode, then you know that one of your third-party apps is to blame. To boot into Safe Mode, press and hold the power button until you see the power menu. Then, tap and hold Power off until you see the Safe mode prompt. Tap OK to boot into Safe Mode. Once you're in Safe Mode, try turning on Bluetooth. If it doesn't turn on automatically, then you can restart your phone in normal mode and start uninstalling third-party apps one by one until you find the culprit.
Update Android OS. If you're still having problems, try updating your Android OS to the latest version. Google often releases software updates that include bug fixes and performance improvements.
iOS
Restart your iPhone. This is often the simplest fix for minor software glitches.
Forget all Bluetooth devices. This will remove all paired Bluetooth devices from your iPhone. To do this, go to Settings > Bluetooth and tap the i icon next to each device. Then, tap Forget This Device.
Reset Network Settings. This will restore all network settings to their factory default settings. To do this, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Update iOS. If you're still having problems, try updating your iOS to the latest version. Apple often releases software updates that include bug fixes and performance improvements.
If you've tried all of the above and Bluetooth is still turning on automatically, then you may need to contact your device manufacturer or a qualified technician for further assistance.
